The "twist" is the non-traditional blend: primarily the Right bank of Bordeaux staples Merlot (59%) and Cabernet Franc (27%), but with a dose of Syrah and Petite Sirah added to mix things up. The resulting wine is a rich, heady red loaded with plum and cassis aromas. On the palate, the wine picks up hints of baking spices, oak and tobacco.
